Application: MOLCARB™ ACT is widely used in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic and personal care, as an adsorbent, detoxifying agent and purifying ingredient. It is commonly incorporated into tablets, capsules, powders, face washes, face masks, soaps, oral care products and specialty formulations to adsorb toxins, impurities, excess oils, gases and unwanted substances. Its high adsorption capacity helps support detoxification.

3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in all usual solvents.
4 Acidity or alkalinity Not more than 0.75 mL of 0.02 M hydrochloric acid is required to change the colour of the indicator to yellow.
5 Acid-soluble substances Not more than 3%.
6 Alkali-soluble coloured substances The solution is not more intensely coloured than reference solution GY4.
7 Ethanol (96%) soluble substances Not more than 0.5%.
8 Fluorescent substances Specified test.
9 Sulfides The fumes released do not turn lead acetate paper brown.
10 Copper Not more than 25 ppm.
11 Lead Not more than 10 ppm.
12 Zinc Not more than 25 ppm.
13 Loss on drying Not more than 15%.
14 Sulfated ash Not more than 5%.
15 Adsorptive power Not less than 40 g of phenazone is adsorbed.

PACKAGING

MOLCARB™ ACT is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. It is stored in a tightly closed container.
