2 Solubility It is soluble in solutions of dilute acids and alkalies.
3 Completeness of solution The solution is clear.
4 Specific rotation Between –32.0° to –40.0°.
5 Loss on drying Not more than 10.0%.
6 Residue on ignition Not more than 0.05%.
7 PH Between 4.5 to 7.0.
8 Chloride Not more than 0.014%.
9 Iron The solution does not become blue within 1 minute.
10 Reducing sugars Specified test.
11 Calcium Not more than 0.10% calcium is found.
12 Sulphate Not more than 0.05%.
13 Free fructose Not more than 2.0%, calculated on the dried basis.
14 Content of combined glucose Not less than 2.0% and not more than 5.0%, calculated on the dried basis is found.
15 Assay Not less than 94.0% and not more than 102.0% of C6 H11O5(C6H10O5)nOH calculated on dried basis.

PACKAGING

MOLCARB™ IN is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING 

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
